Thatch is a lawns BIGGEST enemy!

Thatch is a layer of debris formed from decaying roots and turf and it lies below the green grass and above the root structures.  It does its damage by not allowing the lawn to ‘breathe’ effectively.  Nutrients, water and oxygen cannot penetrate thatch to get where it needs to go, so every Spring professionals recommend a renovation which starts with a scarification.  If your lawn hasn’t been renovated so far, call your local specialist lawn care company and have them assess the need – you will amazed at both the debris removed and the recovery process.
